Dr.Renwen

Prof. Dr. Wen Ren is Dean at the Graduate School of Translation and Interpretation (GSTI) and Director of Research Centre for Country-Specific Translation and Interpretation Capacity (RECTIC) at Beijing Foreign Studies University, China. She also holds the role of Deputy Director of China National Committee for Graduate Education of Translation and Interpreting and Vice President of Conférence internationale permanente d'instituts universitaires de traducteurs et interprètes (CIUTI). She serves as a Standing Director of Translators Association of China (TAC), and within TAC’s Interpreting Committee as Deputy Director. She is also an Advisory Board Member of the Baker Center for Translation and Intercultural Studies, Shanghai International Studies University. In the field of research, she sits on the Editorial Boards of Translation and Interpreting Studies, Chinese Translators Journal, and Shanghai Journal of Translators. She is also co-editor of Interpreting and Society: An Interdisciplinary Journal. Her research interests encompass translation and interpreting from a sociological perspective, translation/interpreting pedagogy, interpreter/translator ethics, impact of technology on T&I, etc.
